Lee has always pushed the boundaries of art- he is never afraid to try new approaches and is a constant admirer and student of the old world masters. Lee has won numerous awards, including "Artist of the Year" and "Featured Artist" at many of America's finest wildlife and nature art shows. He has been honored with "People's Choice" award at some of the country's most celebrated art events. Though he has established his reputation in wildlife, Lee's fine art subject matter also includes still life, landscapes, figurative and portraiture.

A delightful personality to meet and engage, Lee is a consummate sports fan and enjoys following the fortunes of the San Diego area teams, including the Padres and Chargers. An avid photographer, Lee Kromschroeder can often be found shooting sports for fun, or traveling the world gathering references for new wildlife paintings. Lee is married with two children and one grandchild.
